To reach a high cruising speed (up to 310 km/h) the following conditions should be fulfilled:

 

1)     The wing is cantilevered, using modern laminar profile. Mechanization - extension flaps and drooping ailerons, which help to reach good take-off and landing properties.

2)     Laminar profiles also used in vertical and horizontal empennage.

3)     Retractable landing gear.

4)     The engine must be equipped with airscrews of variable lead, this permits to keep high power-plant efficiency in all range of operating speeds.

5)     Propeller spinners have enlarged diameter, this permits to decrease bottom resistance of motor nacelles.

6)     At prescribed cockpit dimension, fuselage has a minimum washable surface. Its shape  provides the decreased resistance level. The created airplane silhouette combines gracefulness and functionality with aerodynamic perfection, which provides the excellent velocity properties.

7)     Graphite-epoxy composite materials are used in airplane construction along with fiberglass plastic and this makes the airplane more perfect in the view of its weight.

 

A spacious cockpit (length – 2,8 m, width – 1,24, height – 1,25) with excellent field of view, ventilation and heating system makes the flight very comfortable both for the pilot and passengers. High level of comfort is also provided by position of airscrews, which situated quite far from the cockpit.

 

The airplane is equipped with:

-        mixed type control system of the main aerodynamic equipment;

-        electromechanical control of the take-off and landing mechanization, rudder trimmer, gear output and retract, airscrews of variable lead, engine cooling system leaves;

-        14V voltage direct-current electricity system;

-        flight navigator equipment, which includes two multifunctional displays EFIS, radio communication equipment;

-        satellite navigator system;

-        high-speed parachute rescue system, with provides crew and airplane safety in emergency conditions.

 

As the fuel consumption per kilometer is low (0,14 l/km while the speed is 280 km/h), and the cockpit is very comfortable, with excellent field of view, and it is possible to place different additional equipment there, the airplane is perfect for searching works, observation and patrolling.
